Tiny, but mighty.

The Nadria Leeann Wright Memorial Nursing Scholarship is in honor of Columbia College freshman Nadria Leeann Wright, who attended Columbia College with hopes of obtaining her Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) degree. She aspired to advance to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist before she was tragically killed on September 14, 2019.

The Nadria Leeann Wright Memorial Nursing Scholarship is an all-inclusive memorial scholarship opened to aspiring hardworking nursing students who encounter financial hardship while pursuing a nursing degree.

Nadria Leeann Wright

Nadria was faced with many challenges during her short life. She tackled each one of them head on with perseverance and tenacity, never giving up on anything she wanted to accomplish, including becoming a nurse and advancing her career in the nursing profession.

At Columbia College, Nadria loved the attentiveness from the professors, being with old friends and meeting new ones, the various activities, and, most especially, the beauty of the campus.

THE SCHOLARSHIP

Nadria and her family faced financial difficulties when it came to Nadria attending college, but Nadria was promised that, whatever it took, she would be able to attend and graduate.

Although Nadria is no longer here, her family, Columbia College, Regional Economic Development (REDI), and friends at the Missouri Women’s Business Center wanted to bestow this wonderful heartfelt gift to other hardworking nursing students in lifelong remembrance of Nadria. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors!
